Saturday November 8, 2008: The Sky Blue Boys
The Sky Blue Boys are proud to be a throwback to the early days
of country music, when the primary format was a duo - just two guys, usually brothers,
playing guitar and mandolin or two acoustic guitars, and harmonizing on the old ballads,
heart songs and gospel numbers. Banjo Dan and Willy, co-founders of the popular
bluegrass group Banjo Dan and the Mid-nite Plowboys, offer up a program of acoustic
American music. Accompanying their songs on guitar, mandolin, banjo, Dobro and
autoharp, they include original material along with the old numbers, throwing in a
little country comedy along the way.
BYOB 21 & over welcome.
