A Senator whose eye is on the White House, promises a big scoop to a TV journalist that will hopefully land him on every screen in  America.  Meanwhile, an altruistic college professor tries to inspire an emotionally detached student into becoming more politically motivated.  Stars Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep, Robert Redford.

MONDAY, JULY 7 - “CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR” - Rated - R
Based on a true story and a book, a congressman from Texas engineered the arming of the mujahideen in Afghanistan who were waging a long war with the Soviets during the 1980s and was assisted by a CIA operative who operated outside the agency.  While they believed they were doing the right thing, they ended up arming the men who would one day house Osama bin Laden.  Stars Tom Hanks, Philip Seymour Hoffman.

MONDAY, JULY 14 -“THE DIVING BELL & BUTTERLFY” - Rated - PG-13
Based on a true story the editor of Elle France was left completely paralyzed except for his left eye. However, with just his one eye, he was able to blink out his memoir and describe what it was like not being able to move. He also very vividly described wild fantasy worlds he could visit in this mind.

In 1935, a professor at Wiley College Texas wants to encourage his students to have big dreams, so he forms and coaches a local debating team that aggressively fights for the chance to engage Harvard's championship team in a match.  Stars Denzel Washington.
